What this is
Alex, Powered by Invest Hamilton County, is a decision-support tool from Invest Hamilton County. Wage figures are ranges from public federal data. They are values, never guarantees. Employers set pay; programs determine eligibility; the IRS and Indiana DOR determine tax treatment. Estimates are not determinations.

Fair use
Accounts are for your own person or organization. Aggregate market data may be cited with attribution ("Source: Alex, Powered by Invest Hamilton County. Invest Hamilton County"). Don't resell access or scrape the service.
Subscriptions
Individual plans (Alex Plus) are month to month. Cancel anytime; access continues through the paid period.
Organizational plans (employer Member, Industry, and Premium; nonprofit Mission Member and Impact Partner) are 12-month engagements. You choose how to pay, monthly or annually; monthly billing is a payment schedule within the annual engagement, not a month-to-month subscription. Engagements renew annually unless either party gives 30 days' notice before the renewal date. If an organization needs to exit early, write to us; we resolve it like neighbors, but the engagement term is the agreement.
Coach add-ons for organizational plans bill monthly and may be added or dropped at any time, independent of the base engagement. Coach add-on pricing is reviewed quarterly against model and token costs with 30 days' notice of any change.
The founding rate card was adopted by the HCEDC Board on August 11, 2026. Founding pricing is held for a member's first full year; any later change carries notice and never applies mid-engagement to a signed term.
Refunds and cancellation
Alex Plus. Cancel any time from your account or the billing portal. Cancellation stops the next charge; access continues to the end of the month already paid, and partial months are not refunded. A charge made after you cancelled, or a duplicate charge, is refunded in full when you tell us within 30 days.
Organizational plans (employer Member, Industry, and Premium; nonprofit Mission Member and Impact Partner) carry a 30-day guarantee: cancel within 30 days of your first payment and everything you have paid is refunded, whether you paid monthly or for the year. After 30 days the engagement runs to the end of its 12-month term. Monthly billing continues through the term; an annual prepayment is not refunded for the months remaining, with two exceptions: if Alex is unavailable for more than 30 consecutive days for reasons within our control, or if we end the engagement for any reason other than a breach of these terms, we refund the unused months pro rata. An organization that needs to exit early for another reason should write to us; we resolve it like neighbors, and the term is the agreement.
Coach add-ons bill monthly and can be dropped at any time; the current month is not refunded.
Wrong rate. If you were charged the out-of-county rate and your organization operates in Hamilton County, or you were charged for a plan you did not choose, tell us and we correct the rate and refund the difference.
Commissioned work through Alex Studio is governed by its own statement of work, not by this section.
How. Ask through the contact page or the address in the footer. Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment processor, normally within ten business days of our reply. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under Indiana or federal consumer law.
